Jetliner Crash In NYC |
星期日(18-01-2009)
The US Airways Flight 1549 had just taken off from LaGuardia Airport enroute to Charlotte, N.C., when it crashed in the river near 48th Street in midtown Manhattan.
Passengers stood on the wings of a US Airways plane in the Hudson River. Local media said the plane was an Airbus with 146 passengers and five crew that had just taken off from La Guardia Airport and was trying to return after apparently striking a flock of "birds". At the bottom of the frame is the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier Museum.
The plane was submerged in the icy waters up to the windows, and rescue crews opened the door and pulled passengers in yellow life vests from the plane. Several boats surrounded the plane, which appeared to be slowly sinking.
The US Airways plane floated in the water after all passengers were safely taken from the crash site.
Wah~~~the birds so powerful (>.<)
